The Boker Plus Cataclyst, a combination of a modern EDC and a high-quality gentleman's knife, also impresses in the Damascus variant with its 110 layers along the line. The sturdy blade opens on ball bearings via a flipper and features a flat grind and a groove on both sides. It is held open by a sophisticated flip-joint mechanism and does not lock, but is merely secured in position by a detent ball. The blade can be folded without releasing a locking device by applying appropriate pressure on the back of the blade.

To ensure legal clarity regarding the carrying of the Cataclyst Brown Damascus Flipjoint, a declaratory ruling has been obtained for its legal weapons classification. The BKA (declaratory ruling Z-524) agrees with the assessment that the blade holder with the detent ball does not constitute a locking device within the meaning of the Weapons Act: "The ball holder of the blade installed here, which is already released by light finger pressure on the back of the blade, does not fulfill the criteria of a manual locking device."

Jimping in the area of the thumb rest and on the backspacer further enhance work safety. The straight-lined design features front handle scales made of three-dimensionally milled Micarta, finished in a light brown. The right-hand grip and the deep-carry clip (tip-up/r), also three-dimensionally milled from solid material, have a satin finish. The knife comes with a lanyard hole and a high-quality nylon pouch for storage.
